About our practice

We’re a group of New York-based psychotherapists who are dedicated to helping you live a more vibrant, authentic life—one that feels wholly right to you. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety or depression, healing from past trauma, or navigating big life changes, we’re here to help you move forward with meaningful tools and a more trusting relationship with yourself.

As queer and queer-allied clinicians, we are proud to provide affirming, inclusive care to our LGBTQ+ clients.

Our therapeutic approach

Traditional talk therapy prioritizes the thinking mind over all else—but insight alone isn’t always enough to make real change. If you’ve ever thought, “I know why I do this, but I still feel stuck,” or, “What’s the point of feeling my feelings?,” it might be time to try a more experiential approach

As a practice, we draw primarily on Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) and Internal Family Systems (IFS)—two highly effective experiential therapy modalities. What is experiential therapy? Experiential therapy is:

  • Somatic: We engage more than the intellect in the pursuit of therapy; we also use somatic mind-body techniques to slow down and build gentle curiosity into what’s happening in your body.

  • Attachment-based: Many people come to therapy looking to improve the quality of their relationships. We draw on attachment theory and use the real-time experience of the relationship between therapist and client to help you notice and shift unwanted relational patterns.

  • Trauma-informed: We recognize that simply talking about traumatic experiences isn’t necessarily healing—working with trauma requires expertise and care. We prioritize building safety when addressing traumatic events so that you can process difficult emotions without being overwhelmed.

  • “Here and Now”: We focus on slowing down and deepening awareness of what’s emerging for you in the moment, in session, to build even more insight into the patterns that you experience outside of session.

What is AEDP?

Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) is an emotion-focused, trauma-informed approach that helps you to access core emotions within the safety of a supportive relationship. Rather than simply looking to alleviate symptoms, AEDP focuses on uncovering your strengths and building resilience—fostering meaningful, lasting change. Learn more about AEDP here.

What is IFS?

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a compassionate, nonpathologizing approach to therapy based on the idea that we all have different “parts” within us—like inner voices or aspects of our inner world. Some parts try to protect us, while others may carry pain or trauma. With IFS, we gently get to know these parts with curiosity and care, guided by your core “Self”—the calm, wise, compassionate center within you. By helping your parts feel seen and heard, IFS fosters deep healing and greater harmony inside and out. Learn more about IFS here.
